Co-Chair of Business Development programs at the Greater Houston
Partnership and Industrial Broker at WorkSpace Real Estate. James will
take us through the basics of LinkedIn and expand into how to
successfully use this amazing platform to launch and foster your career.
He will share with our students and alumni tips, best practices,
branding opportunities, networking, and much more!

currently serves as co-chair for the Greater Houston Partnership's
Business Development Programs and works as an Industrial Broker at
WorkSpace Real Estate. He has consistently demonstrated proficiently in
real estate management, property disposition, asset disposition, and
Immediately prior to establishing WorkSpace Real Estate, Robertson
worked at Grubb & Ellis as a Tenant Representation Broker.
Robertson’s responsibilities included actively marketing properties,
financial lease analysis and preparation, and tactical lease negotiation
for a number of local and national tenants including Advantage
Rent-a-Car, G4S Wackenhut International, State Farm, Allstate, and
Smoothie King, among others.Before pursuing real estate, James worked at
the City of Houston as Director of Constituent Relations for the
Honorable Annise Parker.
He has also served as campaign manager and chairperson of various
civic and community boards and national political organizations. James
received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Bauer College of
Business at the University of Houston where he was both a middle
linebacker and a two-term Student Body President.
